Parish Nurse Ministry

The Parish Nurse program is built on the premise that promoting health and wholeness are integral parts of the ministry of Christ’s church.  Parish Nurses are Registered Nurses (RNs) who pursue additional training sanctioned by the Deaconess Health movement.  The Parish Nurse can be a personal health counselor and advocate, a health educator, and a referral source.

The Parish Nurse program at First Presbyterian Church is a volunteer ministry.  Regular activities include Sunday morning blood pressure checks, education, and visitation.

We endeavor to evolve and be receptive to the needs of those around us and welcome your comments and suggestions!
