Parish Nurse

Patti was born in Newport, RI, and grew up as a Navy brat! She lived in France, Italy, and both coasts as a child. Patti graduated from Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, which was the oldest continuously operating public hospital in the world prior to Hurricane Katrina. With 30+ years of nursing experience in New Orleans and Brunswick, Patti currently works at the Cancer Care Center of Southeast Georgia Health System as a chemo nurse.

Patti completed a basic parish nurse course in a consortium program between Baptist Theological Seminary and Union Seminary in Richmond, VA. She also completed advanced parish nurse course through West Virginia University. In addition to basic RN licensure and certification as a parish nurse, Patti is also board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Corporation. She serves as a Parish Nurse and Health Ministry Consultant to the Presbyterian Church, USA. Patti is the wife of Conrad, and her daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Mike Mayfield, are also members of FPC.
